Harrison enjoyed the days leading up to Halloween...
We kicked off the season with the requisite "headless" shirt.
We worked together to make some "spooky" finger puppets.
We carved pumpkins into Jack-O'-Lanterns:
Harrison brought his "knife" to the carving party:
Dad brought his power tools:
Mom loves her standard pumpkin, nothing fancy. Unfortunately, we placed these outside Saturday morning and Saturday night, two days before Halloween, some neighborhood hooligans went on a pumpkin smashing spree and we lost my poor Jack to the smash fest.
Wax Vampire Teeth:
Funny story about these. We were sitting down to dinner when the doorbell rang last week. Dad opened the door to find a bucket of candy on the doorstep with a note telling us that we have been "BOO'd" and to make two more buckets of candy and BOO two more houses within two days. The next night, Harrison shopped for the goods with dad and the three of us walked down the street to BOO our friend Amelie's house. We explained the logistics of the mission and Harrison tip-toed down the street in the 8pm darkness. He carried the bucket up the steps by himself, rang the doorbell and per our instructions ran back down the steps to meet us and the three of us ran behind some bushes the next house over. We crouched there in silence for probably two minutes before we heard the door close again and then broke into giggles, only to find that Harrison had peed his pants! I think the excitement was a bit much for him, we felt bad for probably scaring him about the process.
Funnier yet, a few days later I found out that 15 minutes before we hit Amelie's house, another neighbor also hit the same house! They were still reading the first note and figuring out the process when we showed up so we caused some major confusion over there!
In any case, when we went Trick-or-Treating last night, Harrison's first question was if he needs to run away from the house after he rings the door bell! Ha!

LOL That is so funny! The fact that HJ peed his pants from the excitement meant that he truly understood the fun of Halloween!
