Surprise Visit!

We received an unexpected knock on our door this evening and to our delight, Michael's brother Stephan was at our doorstep. Since Harrison's birth, we had not heard from this WSU fraternity freshman... not a phone call or email or anything regarding his first and only nephew. All was forgiven the moment he grinned at us and their first meeting was full of sweetness and tenderness. Instantly their was nothing but love between them.

His visit also sadly reminded me that there are other family members Harrison won't be able to meet for awhile. Grandpa Dale and Oma Barbi will be in town shortly and Aunt Chyna can hopefully visit during her Spring Break from high school in April, but I don't know when Uncle Jon and Aunt Audrey will see him next (they live in Boston and Jon is busy starting a company!). We also have lots of aunts, uncles, cousins and a great grandpa living throughout CA whom we rarely see unless we are visiting. We hope to see as many of you as soon as possible! Thank goodness for technology as webcams have allowed us to chat with several members of Raina's family including aunt Annie in the UK otherwise the distance would be unbearable!
